RED VINTAGE WINE
Grape variety: Tempranillo Rioja native also called tempranilla, country ink or cencibel.
Preparation: The grape is harvested when it has reached the optimum point of phenolic maturity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature between 25° C and 28° C. Automatic control of pumping for extracting aromatics and color.
Vintage: Twelve months in American oak barrels of medium-high roasting.
Bottle: Aged six months in bottle.
Color: Intense red color with violet tones.
Aroma: Red and black fruit jam (blackberry, strawberry, raspberry…), very well integrated with balsamic notes, vanilla and toasted aromas provided by the wood.
Taste: On the palate, round and firm tannins that denote a successful maturity. Flavors of red fruit jam and marmalade with toast notes of coffee cream and cocoa stand out.
Aftertaste: Balanced, with lots of volume and a long finish. Hints of ripe red fruit and very fine and pleasant tannins.
Gastronomic advice: Red meats, game and cheeses.
Recommended serving temperature: 16 ºC a 18 ºC
Storage: It will develop well in bottle over the next two or three years. It should always be kept in a cool, dark and quite place.
